St. Louis Cardinals Game 26 – My Take

Through the month of April, the Cardinals have received extraordinary starting pitching and Tuesday night was no exception. Jaime Garcia was absolutely fantastic. He went eight innings, throwing just 92 pitches and inducing eighteen ground ball outs. The “Chief” Edward Mujica came into the ninth and notched out a  save by striking out the side, against the heart of the Reds order. It was the kind of game that was really crazy and the Cards just had to win. They did because of Matt Holliday, when he lined a screamer into Left-Center that went BAMF when he hit it. There’s not a player around who hits the ball harder than Holliday. Hopefully the bats start to wake up. Carlos Beltran is already starting to hit. He had three of the seven hits. This is a highly productive team that can just go on a tear.

The rubber game of the series will feature Lance Lynn. He’s looking for his fifth win and he’s been pitching pretty good too.
