St. Louis Cardinals Game 48

This game did not go well for the Cardinals. It started by starting pitcher John Gast leaving in the second inning and ended with the Cards losing 5-3. Joe kelly did an admirable job for three innings. Seth Maness absorbed his first loss. He’s been a bit erratic lately. Plus the hitting wasn’t near where it should have been. Carlos Martinez pitched decently and Mitchell Boggs was okay, giving up a run. Many were quick to blame Boggs but he didn’t lose it. They had many chances to win and failed. These kind of games happen. It was a blah game. I sometimes get upset when they don’t play like they’re capable of, due to the high standards I’ve placed on them, but they can’t win every one.

Next Shelby vs Clayton in the rubber game.
