St. Louis Cardinals Game 70

Welcome to St. Louis, baseball heaven, Chicago Cubs. You get to face Shelby Miller, one of the best young pitchers in baseball. You have  your work cut out for you. Shelby didn’t disappoint. Though leaving the game after five innings due to a cramp, Shelby did not allow a run and only two hits and struck out five. The bullpen was outstanding, though Trevor Rosenthal and Chief Mujica both gave up runs. Yadier Molina was the focus of three of the runs as he doubled in the first two runs and scored the third on an error on a play that he was should have been called out. All in all an easy game for the Cards.  The Cards still seem to be a bit off. They haven’t been right since the Cincinnati series. Hopefully they’ll get that out of their system.

Next up, Adam Wainwright goes after his 11th win of the season against the Cubbies.
